26 Days to Go: The Latest on Dean Court’s Redevelopment
With just 26 days until AFC Bournemouth’s first Premier League home game, the redevelopment of Dean Court has entered a fascinating new phase.
This week we visited on a working Monday to see the construction site at full speed – and it’s clear the project is gathering momentum. Heavy machinery, cranes, deliveries and dozens of trades are all working simultaneously as the race continues to get the stadium ready for the new season.
In this update we cover:
🏗️ Steelwork finally set to begin
🏗️ New lift shafts being installed
🏗️ Major progress on both corner foundations
🏗️ Turnstile canopies and Main Stand completion
🏗️ New LED screens revealed in planning documents
🏗️ GrassMaster hybrid pitch installation explained
🏗️ New pedestrian routes and fan access updates
🏗️ Will everything be ready for Everton?
Whilst there’s still a huge amount of work remaining, there’s a genuine feeling that the project is reaching a turning point. Once the steel starts going up, the transformation of Vitality Stadium could happen incredibly quickly.
